I was looking up random weapons and I started noticing an irregularity with two weapons so far - Ice Rapier and Bewitched Alonne Katana. When you infuse a weapon that simply has physical damage, you get 70% physical damage and 70% of the element you infuse it with.Oh and it can still shield-poke. Estoc does wonders in both pvp and pve. The swipe is great, bypassing shields is a plus, str scaling is typically stronger than dex scaling, and it deals double the poise damage of the rapier, which most opponents will assume it is. If you (for some reason) only have the minimum needed stats tu weil it efficently go for raw. But if you increased your Dex stat, no infusion is likely to be the most optimal choice.
